Our Meetings last one hour and afterwards you are most welcome to participate in open
recovery and fellowship chat keeping in mind our Room Policy as provided in the following link
http://www.aa-alive.net/room-use-policy.html
The things you need to know about our meetings are simple. First and foremost is accessing
private chat. Using private messaging allows you to chat with someone without interrupting
those who are sharing during the meeting.
If you see a blue band in the main room, that is a private message addressed to you.
Click on it and it opens a separate window (the background to the main room will fade.)
If you enter the room after the meeting opening has begun, a greeter will send a private
message to you to tell you the topic of meeting and who is chairing. To go back to the
main room from a private message, click on the faded background or use the Escape
Key (Esc) on your keyboard.
Private messages work as well if you have any questions during the meeting in progress.
Click on a name in red (these are moderators) and the private message window will
automatically pop up. You can also type a ? (question mark) into the room and a
Moderator or trusted servant will send an invite to private message you.
How our meetings work while in progress. We share one at a time in general way
(meaning we don't ask anyone to give in depth details of their past but try to share
on what we are willing to do about our Alcoholism). We follow the suggestion in the
AA Big Book, page 58...

to be like, what happened, and what we are like now."
We also share one at a time uninterrupted and no crosstalk, meaning no unsolicited advice.
To share type ! as the exclamation mark signifies raising your hand.
The chair person will call on the hands in the order they were raised.
When done sharing, type GA which means Go Ahead to the next hand raised.
We do not provide attendance verification.
